Growth in the digital sector is nearly six times larger than growth across the UK economy as a whole contributing more than £400 million to the UK economy a day.
The T Level Foundation Course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge required to join the Level 3 T Level in Digital Support Services; Network Cabling but it also provides you with skills valued by employers.
This programme is not just an academic course you will be 'hands-on' with computer hardware and network devices, creating and testing fully working computing systems
This course is suitable for anyone wanting a career in digital infrastructure and support.
This study programme includes:
- The T Level transitional course
- Maths
- Employability skills and work experience
The course is made up of seven units:
Three core/mandatory units, two of which are externally assessed with an online examination
- The online world
- Technology systems
- Digital portfolio
Other units of study include:
- Hardware installation and upgrading
- Software installation and upgrading
- Computer networks
- Website
This is a Study Programme and applicants must be 16 or 17 years of age when applying (on or before 31st August).
To study a T-Level foundation programme, you will need:
A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 3 including English or Maths at grade 4 (or Level 2 Functional Skills in English and Maths)
OR
Aspiring Professional or relevant Level 1 qualification and English or Maths at grade 4 or above (or L2 Functional Skills in English and Maths)
Applicants should be ready to complete a work placement

Two units are externally assessed by an online examination and the rest of the units are assessed by a series of assignments. Each unit will be graded as Pass, Merit or Distinction and the overall grade achieved at the end of the qualification will be determined by the individual unit grades.
Students are required to complete and pass all components to achieve their qualification.
Selection is by interview and academic reference.
Regular attendance and commitment to the course is essential.
To learn effectively on your course you will need to use certain items of equipment and undertake particular activities. We will provide these for your use whilst in College, but you should have your own headphones/earbuds for use when listening to instructional videos etc.
The prime aim for this course is to enable you to prepare for the Level 3 T Level in Digital Support Services however it also prepares you for employment in a variety of digital and computing environments.:
