About Us
Wirral Met is a large college of Further and Higher Education, supporting over 10,000 students every year with a range of courses from entry level to higher education.
English and maths are essential skills that will help you through life, no matter what career you choose. Our courses are perfect if you want to improve your reading, writing and numeracy skills and progress to different courses, employment or higher education.

These courses equip students with the skills and knowledge to progress onto occupations including:
Many students progress onto jobs once they have completed their full-time study programmes, and other Level 3 students progress onto Higher Education to study towards a degree, which is validated by the University of Liverpool.
Helen has no official business qualifications, yet through hard work and determination she has managed to set up her own business as a children’s party entertainer. Helen was advised a Maths qualification would be advantageous to help with her accounts so she enrolled upon a Functional Maths course and progressed to a more advanced course.
