Hospitality & Culinary Arts

Our range of culinary arts & hospitality study programmes will help you start your career as a chef, barista or hospitality supervisor. Working in our fully licensed training restaurant and kitchens, you will develop skills to prepare you for work in this exciting profession.

 

You will also have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals, such as acclaimed chef Paul Askew, who is president of our hospitality school and take part in exciting competitions to show off your skills.

Students completing level 1 and 2 study programmes progress to the level 3 programme, or progress into jobs or apprenticeships within the hospitality and catering industry.

These courses equip students with the skills and knowledge to progress onto occupations including:

Trainee chefs (Commis Chefs) earn from around £13,000 per year, but Head Chefs in top hotels and restaurants may earn around £30,000 per year. Waiting staff can earn around £12,000 to £16,000 per year and bar people can earn from between £11,000 and £17,000 depending on their experience; if you take on additional responsibilities and are managing staff, you may earn around £20,000.
