Travel and tourism students

Students from our Travel and Tourism department are set to enjoy a unique work placement opportunity. Level 3 students will work at Liverpool Cruise Terminal, gaining vital skills and industry experience.

Leanne Rose, Ground Services Manager at GAC Group visited our students to deliver a talk reflecting on her time in the travel and tourism industry, the skills and experience needed by employers, and briefed students about the upcoming placements.

Students also conducted interviews with Leanne for the roles, as well as learning about the responsibilities and importance of staff members running a cruise ship.

Students will get hands on travel and tourism experience at Liverpool Cruise Terminal, greeting and welcoming guests, as well as checking in those travelling before embarkation.

There will also be an opportunity for students to secure paid work placements.

Our Level 3 NCFE Travel, Tourism and Aviation Extended Diploma has been specifically designed to equip students with the skills to enter the dynamic world of Travel and Tourism. Students will cover a wide range of topics and areas, whilst also completing 72 hours of work placements.
