On Friday 7 July, Wirral Met College welcomed family, friends and students to its annual Higher Education Awards Ceremony.
The Awards celebrates the achievements of Wirral Met's higher education students, in the following curriculum areas: Art, Design & Creative Media, Social Studies, Business, Accounting and Human Resources, Teaching and Assessing, Construction and the Built Environment, Science, Computing and IT, Counselling.
The ceremony's Guest Speaker was Dr Shaid Mahmood MBE, Chair of the Association of Colleges and Pro-Vice-Chancellor - Equality, Diversity, Inclusion at Durham University.
Principal Sue Higginson OBE was joined by the procession of the platform party, comprised of Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside, Robert T H Owen JP, DL; High Sheriff of Merseyside, Dr Ruth Hussey CB, OBE, DL; Mayor of Wirral, Councillor Jerry Williams; Chair of the Association of Colleges and Pro-Vice-Chancellor - Equality, Diversity, Inclusion at Durham University, Dr Shaid Mahmood MBE; Assistant Principal of Adult and Higher Education, Lynn Adam BSc.
