This week is National Apprenticeship Week and Wirral Met College is getting involved and helping to highlight the amazing opportunities an apprenticeship can bring.

Celebrating National Apprenticeship Week
Here at Wirral Met College we are celebrating the week by supporting Wirral Council and local employers who are also holding an Apprentice Recruitment Day, on Thursday 12th March at Birkenhead Town Hall from 10:00am – 2:00pm – an opportunity to meet employers not to be missed!
Help us celebrate the week and join us on social media by getting involved in our ‘Apprentice Selfie’ competition! If you are an apprentice or know of an apprentice we want you to get involved…! All you need to do is take a selfie of yourself in your workplace and tweet us at @wirralmet using the hash tag #wirralmetapprentice. We will then pick the best selfie and the winner will receive a selfie stick! Good luck!

Hear from some of our apprentices:
James Vick
James Vick completed the level 1 and 2 Performing Engineering Operations study programmes and is currently doing an Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering Manufacture. James is also studying towards the BTEC Engineering level 3 Diploma.
Nicola Barr
Nicola Barr is currently undertaking a level 2 Business Administration apprenticeship. She works at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on reception at A&E, booking in and discharging patients, whilst also working in the trauma department inputting data. Nikki would like a full-time job with the hospital when her apprenticeship finishes.
