Those looking to give their futures a boost this year should look no further than Wirral Met’s wide range of higher education courses.

Are you looking for an alternative to university? It’s never too late to realise your dreams, whether this is changing direction towards a new career or harnessing a passion and turning it into a way of earning money. Many adults are realising the benefits of staying closer to home and continuing their education at their local college. At Wirral Met, you can gain university-level higher education qualifications which are affordable and flexible.

Higher education courses are available from September across a spectrum of subject areas and levels, including Degrees, Foundation Degrees, Higher National Certificates/Diplomas (HNC/HND) and teaching qualifications. Wirral Met has partnered with some of the top universities to deliver the very best higher education, this includes University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), University of Liverpool and University of Chester.

This September also sees the introduction of two new courses, BA (Hons) Sociology with Criminology and BA (Hons) Early Years.

Other university level programmes include degrees in Games Art & Design, Illustration with Animation, Psychology and Applied Chemistry, alongside Higher National Certificates or Diplomas in Construction, Creative Media Production or Photography, Engineering and Science. There are also Foundation Degrees in Computer Science and Science and the Post Graduate Certificate in Education for those interested in a career in teaching.

Studying a higher education course at Wirral Met is affordable and flexible. Our fees are lower than most universities and student bursaries are available for those studying a full-time degree or PGCE with a household income of less than £25,000. And with our flexible study options, you will also be able to fit study in around your existing family and work commitments.

But less cost doesn’t mean less quality – we have dedicated higher education areas, highly qualified professional staff, great facilities across our four Campuses and excellent links with employers. And with September fast approaching, now is the time to look into your options for studying towards a university level programme.

When all the hard work is over, you’ll be invited to celebrate gaining your qualification with family and friends at our annual Graduation Ceremony at the Floral Pavilion in New Brighton.
